A
program to help the Native community and general public learn how
to use the technology resources available at the library. The project
is a partnership with the Chilkoot Indian Association Tribal Government
that began in 2001and continues today with support from the Instisute
of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) and the Alaska State Library.
Story hours, craft activities, and other creative programs for children
of all ages.
A collaboration between the Library, KHNS-FM and many other local
agencies, this program provides the equipment and training to produce
radio diaries on the effects substance has on their lives. This two
year project will also present speakers, trainings, and special events
designed to address local needs, increase civic engagement and improve
the quality of life in our community.
This program is funded by a Partnership for a Nation of Learners
Community Collaboration Grant.
